I swear, I worked so hard on filling out this application
Then I accidentally deleted it
I typed it again to the best of my abilities
Then accidentally deleted it. Again.
SHOULDA SAVED IT IN A WORD DOCUMENT TnT
Sorry, this will be an extremely watered down version of my once glorious application
Screen Name:
Kätzchen
Job Wanted:
Concept Artist
How often are you online?:
Most of the week
Why do you want this job?:
Experience. (So I can evolve from a lazy Slowpoke into a slightly less lazy Slowbro)
Example of work (Only if you're applying for Spriter, Musician or Concept Artist):
I specialize in cartooning but can do a wide range of styles, including realisticish, semi-realistic, manga, and Disney
I use Paint Tool Sai for digital art
I can draw most anything if I put my mind to it
O have some samples:
imgur.com/a/xbJBWFrom top to bottom in ascending numbers, 5) was concept art for a fan-animation for Bluestar's Prophecy and 6, 7, & 8) I was a concept artist for a fan-animation of a fan-made-warrior-cat-spinoff-graphic-novel (FANCEPTION), I was tasked to draw some reference poses for the animators in the original graphic novel's style (here's the graphic novel:
forums.warriorcats.com/topic/362288771032455190 )
I had more in-depth analysis of all the pictures, but of course it was deleted -_-
So if you want to know more about any particular piece or what more examples of that sort of style just ask.
Anything else you want to add? (Optional):
I've worked on numerous warrior cat newspapers, cartoons, and fan-made animation productions.
I am a writer, you don't seem to be searching for writers but I'd just like to add in that I am one.
I've worked on an rpg before doing concept art, character designs, and partaking in the writing of world building and fantasy culture. The rpg had nothing to do with warrior cats, all original content except for perhaps the game mechanics.
Here's some work I did there (again, ask for more if you want)
A unicorn-dog-like creature I named Kirinu (kirin: unicorn-like-creature inu: dog)
A: This one has a long neck, this is because 'kirin' not only is a unicorn type creature, but also translates into 'giraffe' in Japanese. It has a mane and tufted tail, dog-like ears and nose, but the mane and horn can probably vary depending on each individual. The body is relatively thin and graceful.
B: This one is very dog-ish, it's plump and furry. The muzzle is actually much like a horse, it's nose is just two nostrils. It has a Spitz tail, the ears are like a ponys'. The body is sturdy and compact.
C: This one is a little wildebeest-ish, the back hooves are cloven (common for unicorns in European folklore) and has the dog tail. It actually has scales on its' back and forehead. (Qilin is scale-y, it is believed that it has scales because the giraffe's tessellated pattern resembles scales) The body is sturdy and muscular.
A manatee-dolphin-like creature named Kowappo (Don't ask me what it means, I didn't name it, heh)
A: This is roughly some of my design ideas for Kowappo. The face is very much like a manatee, containing a prehensile upper lip and folds of wrinkled skin. However, as the body goes down, it becomes slimmer until tapering at the end into a dolphin’s fluke. I noticed in your design the Kowappo contained two sets of flippers, but I went ahead and added a third to make it look more sea-serpent-esque and not just some ordinary animal. The body is long like a dolphin’s, though considerably more flexible.
B: The emperor! You know, it’s kind of coincidental he’s purple. There’s a type of predatory sea snail called Bolinus brandaris that secretes a purple dye used by Roman emperors on their clothing. I drew his crown made up of Bolinus brandaris shells.
C: A female Kowappo wearing a traditional palla. Yellow pallas were made from saffron, an expensive color only to be worn by married women and the Vestal Virjins, so this might be the emperor’s wife. Assuming saffron doesn’t appear underwater, this palla is made from yellow seaweed
